A camera and a mic
Whatever your device already has. The browser asks for permission once, and you can revoke it at any time from the address bar.
A normal connection
Wi-Fi, fibre or 4G all work. Roughly 4–8 MB a minute — about the same as scrolling a video feed.

Online video chat should not start with a download. Ours does not: the matcher, the call and the controls are all web, so the fastest way in is the link you are already on. Nothing lands on your phone, nothing asks for contacts or notifications, and closing the tab ends everything.
The one gotcha worth knowing is in-app browsers. If you tapped a link inside Instagram, TikTok or Messenger, that mini-browser often refuses camera access — open the page in Safari or Chrome instead and it works immediately. Everything else behaves the way you would expect, including landscape mode on a tablet.

Online video chat questions
Do I need to download an app for online video chat?
No. It runs as a normal web page — the same URL works on a phone, a tablet and a desktop. An app exists for iOS and Android if you prefer one, but nothing requires it.
Which browsers work?
Any current Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Samsung Internet or Brave. Camera access needs an HTTPS page, which ours is.
What do I actually need before my first call?
A camera, a microphone and a normal internet connection. No account, no card, no plugin, no extension.
Does it work on mobile data?
Yes. A call uses roughly 4–8 MB per minute depending on quality, so a ten-minute chat is well under 100 MB. Wi-Fi is smoother if you have it.
